Vision Impact

The current board of directors includes individuals with almost 40 years of combined experience in organizing and managing large-scale, construction-intensive mission projects for several communities around the United States.  These annual mission projects involved the recruitment and organization of more than 100 volunteers and the scouting, evaluation and implementation of multiple work sites.  Their efforts have made a significant impact to each community through completion of a large scope of work in a limited time frame.  Those in need received not only improved living conditions, but also the blessings of the volunteers.  The youth and adults serving as volunteers have learned the power of giving and other life lessons that have led many to continue participating in these annual projects for many years.  In 1997 the group worked in the Bear Creek Area in the City of Irving on 12 projects.  Local community service projects continue with Great Days of Service annual spring projects and with plans for year round service.

Don Romer has 35 years of construction experience ranging from heavy industrial to award winning homes.  He was selected “Builder of the Year” by the Dallas Architect’s organization for his commitment to quality craftsmanship and his dedication to the faithful execution of the architect’s vision in 1999.  Don began his association with the original board members by supervising the adults working on the Bear Creek project.  He has continued every year since with an increasing level of commitment and responsibility.
